How to delete your Instagram account?

Points to remember

• Instagram account can be deleted permanently on the account deletion page. But once permanently deleted, it can’t be recovered. Then you need to make a new one.

• You can deactivate your Instagram account which is temporary, if you want to recover the account later.

• If you are intended to delete or deactivate your Instagram account, then you’ll need to use a web browser, not the app.

 

 

Steps to delete an Instagram account permanently.

• On a desktop or mobile web browser, go to the Instagram website and log into your account using your username and password.

• Once logged in, go to the account deletion page.

• From the drop-down menu at the top of the screen, choose your reason for deleting your account. 

• Once you’ve chosen your reason for deleting, you’ll be asked to re-enter your password.

• Enter the password, then click the blue “Delete [Account Name]” button.

• And….  Boom!!!  You’ll be done, Your account will be permanently deleted. 

Note:- It’ll take a month for your data to be fully erased from Instagram’s data center. Until then, your account will just be hidden from public view.

Steps to deactivate an Instagram account temporarily.

• Log into your Instagram account on the web using your Username & password. 

• Go to your profile page, then click “Edit profile” at the top of the page.

•  Then, At the bottom of the page that opens, select “Temporarily disable my account.”

• Select a reason that you’re disabling your account, and re-enter your password.

• Click “Temporarily Disable Account.”

• And…. Boom!!! You’ll be done, Your account will be temporarily disabled which could be recovered later.
