Technology, A word that gives Goosebumps every time someone goes through it. That is why everyone likes and wants to talk about it. While thinking of it, Have you ever got the Questions like, who invented Technology for the first time & when? Who defined it? How and why we are used to it? And finally, what will be the Upcoming, Next Generation Technology? Let’s discuss all those questions and elaborate on the term “Technology”.
What is Technology?
Technology is the utilization of knowledge for Practical applications or purposes, no matter in industry level or our daily lives. In simple words, Using our Scientific Knowledge to achieve something or some purposes could be considered as Technology. -This is what the term ‘Technology’ means, but if we take it deep, there’s slightly more than it. As, it involves a particular device or specific piece of equipment when we talk about Technology. Where the equipment could be as simple as your pen’s tip to an extremely complex Rocket.
Types of Technology
There are mainly 7 types of Technologies.
Mechanical Technology
Praxis: 3D printers, Cars manufactured by using mechanical robots, Power plants, etc.
Electronic Technology
Praxis: Smartphones, computers, RADAR (Radio Detection And Ranging), power suppliers, multimeters, interactive Sensors, digital cameras, etc.
Medical Technology
Praxis: Stethoscope, surgical robots, ventilators, pacemakers, computed tomography (CT) scanners, etc.
Bio-Technology
Praxis: Extraction of metals from their ores through the use of living organisms (bioleaching), use of microorganisms for creating organic products like milk and baking bread, production of biological weapons, etc.
Nuclear Technology
Praxis: Radioisotope Thermal Generators used in space missions, production of electrical energy, radiotherapy, smoke detectors, sterilization of disposable products, etc.
Communication Technology
Praxis: GPS, LAN (Local area network), videotext, Teletext, Internet, wireless information transfer, etc.
Information Technology
Praxis: Cloud computing, Multimedia conferencing, E-Commerce, online banking, speech recognition, Intrusion Detection System, online advertisement, etc.
Why do we need Technology? | Importance of Technology
Technology is kind of obligatory in our day-to-day lives. This is because life without technology is pointless in this today’s dynamic world. Technology, which brings together tools to promote development, use, and information exchange, has as its main objective of making tasks easier and the solving of many problems of mankind. When technology progresses and makes our lives even more convenient, we must stress how beneficial it is to our lives.
When was Technology first invented and by whom?
Scientifically, It would start around 3.5 billion years ago when life just began on the planet earth and go until the inventions of early modern technologies. The era of technology started when the wheel was invented which is still one of the most important technology and after it, more and more things has been invented. And then a lot of great scientists contributed to it, where some of them are:
Galileo Galilee, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, Issac Newton, Johannes Kepler, Leonardo da Vinci, Henry Ford, James Watt, Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Johannes Gutenberg, Karl Benz, and so on.

The trend is a term which indicates ‘Rise and Fall’, where sometimes it Rise to High or sometimes, falls to the least. And among the crowd of tons of trends in technology, I found the most recent trends & which are even the future from now!

5G

AI (Artificial Intelligence), has affected lives since the past decade, and its notable effects on how we live, work, and play are still only in the early stages. It is expected that till the end of this ongoing decade, AI will be able enough to perform, think, and even react with it’s own intelligence. AI is already known for its super abilities in different eras such as image, speech & face recognition, smartphone personal assistants, navigation apps, ride-sharing apps, and so on.
Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
The next trending technology is all about the Digital World. i.e. Virtual Reality (VR) & Augmented Reality (AR), and Extended Reality (ER). VR immerses the user in an environment while AR enhances their environment. Although this technology trend has primarily been used for gaming thus far, it has also been used for training, as with VirtualShip, a simulation software used to train U.S. Navy, Army, and Coast Guard ship captains, and so more.
Blockchain
When someone says the word ‘Blockchain’ most people just think of cryptos, illegal transactions, or frauds and scams in relation to the cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. But actually, Blockchain offers security that is useful in a bunch of ways. In simple words, blockchain can be described as data you and only you can add to, not take away from or change. And, not being able to change the previous blocks is what makes it highly secure. In addition, blockchains are consensus-driven, so none of any entities can take control of the data. With blockchain, you don’t need to trust any third party to oversee, review or validate your transactions as it works from Wallet to Wallet(Digitally).
